My sister is doing the 2-day breast cancer walk in Boston!
It's a 39 mile walk over 2 days. She has to raise $1800 to walk and she's already up to $500 (she only started raising $$ yesterday). I'm so proud of her!
For anyone that is interested, there is a walk in NY in October.

Anyone ever participate in this?

i've never done it, but would like to. My mom died of breast cancer so it's a cause that is close to my heart.

I work for the Avon Walk (but in Charlotte, NC) - Congrats to your sister!!
My mom, sister, mil, and aunt all walked last year and LOVED it. It really is an amazing experience

WOW! Thats awesome!
I walked back in 2003 and it was amazing! To see all of the survivors walking proudly, it was really inspirational
ETA: This was not a 2 day walk that I did. It was just one day

i've done many breast cancer walks, but not this one... I heard it is a very moving experience...

I did one in NY a few years ago (when it was a 3-day) but we were rained out after Day 1. I walked with a woman I met that day who was a survivor and it really was a great experience.
I've thought about doing it again, but it was a huge time commitment to train, so I will have to wait until I have more free time to do it.
