I know you have probably heard of every "cure" in the book BUT my friend's mother did this program at a local college. They started out with flight simulators and therapy and then even took flights to the next closest airport. Their "graduation" was a flight to Boston. AND they helped her obtain medication.
With this help she was able to fly to ITALY and back! Let me know if you would like me to get the information for you!
I am sorry that you missed your sister's wedding - I am sure there are plenty of other events you will be present for ( like babies!)

Re: My sister's reception is today in Aruba...
I'm sorry that your fear kept you from attending, but deep down you know you're there in spirit and supporting her marriage. That's what's more important and as long as your sister knows it then you shouldn't be upset with yourself. I'm sure she understands, don't beat yourself over it.
As a suggestion, when she gets back from her wedding/HM, it might be nice if you have a basket of snacks for her and her new DH waiting for them, they'll prob be hungry when they get home. Doing little things like that for them will hopefull make you feel better, and I'm sure they'd appreciate it!!

I have to agree, maybe one day you will get over your fear but until then I am sure your sister understands.
I believe her sister lives in Aruba!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. They actually already got married here in the US. They live in Aruba They got married a few months ago out east so that my family could all be there. But now she is having a reception in Aruba with more of my family(my parents are there, etc), their friends, and his family is in from Holland.
I hope someone video tapes it for me

Me too...Have you thought of taking one of those courses that can help you get over your fear? I was always very afraid to fly until I started flying with DH who is a pilot. He was able to explain a lot of things (noises, turbulence, ect) to me and it has helped a lot.
I'm sorry you had to miss your sisters wedding

Could you please FM the info? I really need to get some help. I have tried some medication and hypnosis (which worked but you have to keep going and it is $$$)

Re: My sister's reception is today in Aruba...
I'm so sorry you can't be there and partake in the celebration.
But at least you got to witness the wedding here and you are there with her in spirit.

Oooooooooh ok, I thought it was a destination wedding, sorry!! So you attended the ceremony here, that's really the most important part of their wedding; don't worry about missing the reception. I'm sure there will be someone taping it, as well as loads of pics and stories you'll hear!! Before you know it, you'll feel as if you really were there!!
