my son is a "good boy"

i always feel i'm not as good of a mother as i can be. i have this underlying sense of doom and gloom about my parenting skills. i never talk about it to anyone.

that's why this means so much to me.
my son went tick-or-treating last night with his buddies (with supervision). they went to a neighbor's house and hung out for a little bit.

this morning another friend of mine told me what happened. she said that the parent stated, "who was that little boy? he's such a good boy, very polite and well behaved."

i was walking the dog when she told me this. i cried during the rest of my walk.

i'm not screwing this up as bad as i thought i was
