my twins were reunited for a Xmas pic!
my twins are now over 4 mths old and have never been together since my DS is still in the NICU and my DD has been home for almost 2 months. We aren't allowed to bring DD into the NICU, but for Xmas they let us break the rules and bring her in for a quick picture. I was sooooooooo happy to finally see them together!! Best Xmas gift ever!

Thank you Ethan has really bad lungs and had to have a tracheostomy. He was supposed to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility where they would wean him off the vent and get him on a path to coming home, but he had a major episode a few weeks ago where he went into arrest and it took over 30 minutes to be resuscitated. It is a miracle he lived and that MRIs show that he doesn't have severe brain damage because of the oxygen deprivation, but he still may have some level of brain injury. He has made a lot of progress since that event, but stilll has a long way to go. They are talking about him possibly going to the rehab center soon. Not sure how long he will be there though before he can come home.

I can't imagine the strength you've had to conjure up to get through this. Twin mamas are some of the strongest women I have ever met, and especially those who have had preemies.
