Because I give DS lots of hugs and kisses
Because I plan to (and do as much as you can with a 6 month old) give him the freedomn to explore
Because I will always support and love him no matter what

Because my love is unconditional and knows no boundaries.

Because I have to wear both the hats of the Mom and the Dad, and live/think/act as a single Mother.

She is my #1 priority and comes before all else.

Because I love my babies unconditionally, with all of my heart and soul!

Because I am sure to give each of them equal time and independence from one another.

Because I take pleasure in seeing that all of their needs come before my own.

Re: Name 3 reasons you are a great mom (or dad for GoldenRod)

Thanks for the special mention.... Chat Icon I think the fact that I'm here, and recognized should count as 1... Chat Icon

I put family above work. I *have* to work 40 hours a week to earn money to pay the bills, but I don't work a minute over 40 hours. I rush out the door as close to quitting time as possible to be with my family.

I do everything I can to help DW with the kids. Getting up in the middle of the night to tend to a crying DC. Taking both DC to play in another room if DW is on the phone or trying to relax for a while and watch one of her shows (OK, so the ulterior motive is that I personally don't like Medium, but I still think I deserve credit for that one.... Chat Icon )

I am very patient with DC. If DS is screaming, I'm very calm. I get him to relax, and tell me what the problem is. I get on eye-level with him, and talk to him. I think it gets better results faster, and hopefully it makes him feel like he is important enough that I come down to his level and talk to him as a person, not ignore him or yell at him.

I only get 3?..... Chat Icon
I'm a rebel.... I'm going to write a few more anyway... Chat Icon

We play together just about every day. He rides his trike, and I ride my bike around the front yard. Yesterday, we played in the backyard with his water table. We play with his cars in his room. We surf the web together (he is on his PC, and I'm next to him on mine). Even when we watch his cartoons, I'm always there with him, talking to him about the show.

I am always doing research to find the best/safest/newest things for DC. Techniques, medicine, toys, gear, etc.

Almost every night, I tuck DS in to bed, give him a hug and say "Good night, my Love. I love you David." I want that to be our special little phrase that Daddy says before he goes to sleep. Chat Icon

I have learned to pick my battles wth DD.. there are just somethings that are not worth getting heated up about( if only Dh would get on board with this one it would be great)

I love my DD with all my heart and try to teach her right from wrong

I have learned to take time for myself and for my marriage. That going to grandmas overnight is not going to stop the world. and that both sets of parents would never do anything to hurt or harm my child..

Because I love them unconditionally.

Because I recognize their individuality, foster it and celebrate it, they are not just "the twins".

Because I am taking an extended leave from my job and will be downsizing my workload when I do return because nothing is more important than "Family First" (as one of my nieces always saysChat Icon ). The driven career woman is no longer me.

Re: Name 3 reasons you are a great mom (or dad for GoldenRod)

Well - I am new to all this, but:

I spend every moment he is awake talking to him and kissing him (except when I put him in his swing, and then I feel guilty about doing that, which someone said also makes me a great mom!)

I am discovering I have a great deal of patience for his crying - even when it happens every hour in the middle of the night

I am discovering I am not trying to validate anything about myself by being his parent. I am enjoying our time together 100%, and don't use him to show other people "look what I did - look who I am..." if that makes sense...

1. Because he deserves nothing less
2. I have never ending patience and stamina for his 5 month ongoing battle with early asthma and recurrent ear infection drama while attempting to keep my day job, my marriage and my self in tact. I research everything the Dr.'s tell me and have in-depth conversations on his diagnosis and treatments and try to balance that with being calm about all of the uncertainties.
3. I devote every ounce of energy I have to making sure he knows how much I love him - then I find a few more ounces to take care of myself so I can continue to be a great mommy to him.

1. Nicholas
2. Zachary
3. Hailey

Just kidding....

1. Cuz I love them all equally and try to spend as much quality time with each of them and not ever let anyone feel left out.

2. I take care of them, I bathe them, I kiss there boo boos, I read to them, sing to them, dance with them, play ball with them, cuddle them, cry with them, laugh with them, yell with them!

3. I make an honest effort every day to be the best mom I can be. They are after all my whole life and nothing is more important to me than each one of those adorable faces.

I really don't know 3 reasons, but the main reason is that I love him more than anything in this whole entire world and will do anything for his happiness and well being, even if that means neglecting myself.

I am fun...love to get messy, do things out of the ordinary, laugh, laugh, laugh

I work together with DH to play on our strengths and cover each other so we can be the best parents to Kerri

I am reminded everyday by her smile how grateful I am to have this little girl in my life and she helps us remember what truly matters in life....no more sweating the small stuffChat Icon

1. Becuase I love them with my entire heart and would do anything for them.
2. I treat them as induviduals and not as 1/2 of a set. (I hate when people refer to them as "THE TWINS" )
3. I try my hardest to be patient and calm and give them all of my free time.

I love my son to pieces.
I'm there for him as much as possible.
I read, sing to him, give him baths, take him on walks, and LOVE talking to him and letting him talk (babble) back.
