Name help needed!
We are team green, so this may be a moot point anyways, but dh and I were pretty settled on Eleanor if we had a girl (my dh's grandmothers name, who passed away this past year). Somehow, randomly, last night, we came up with Liliana, which is growing on both of us. Just wondering input here as to which name you like better - Eleanor or Liliana. FYI, our daughter's name is Amelia.

Re: Name help needed!
Personally, I LOOOOOOVE the nickname Ellie, but have never been particularly fond of Eleanor. But that is bc I'm someone who prefers more modern names, so I would probably choose Liliana. I DO like the suggestion of using Liliana Eleanor though

This exactly. I love the nickname but not the full name. But I adore the combination of Liliana Eleanor. It sounds so beautiful together. I'm also a big fan of the nickname Lily

Re: Name help needed!
I was also thinking of the nicknames for each which would be Ellie (one of my favorite girl names) and Lily... do you like those being used for the full names?
I work with a woman named Liliana and do love that full name too!

Re: Name help needed!
That's sweet to name after grandma. I'm mixed because I do like Ellie a lot more than Eleanor. (I'm also with PP who said she just personally prefers more modern names). However, I like Liliana, but can't stand the name Lily. If it were me, I'd go more with Liana rather than Liliana just to avoid risking Lily ever being used. But that's just me. I think it sounds pretty put together too.
Names are just hard. lol. I imagine MUCH harder when team green!! Hopefully you guys find something you love. I'm 5 days from due date and still not 100% sold

I LOOOOOVE Eleanor. It was on my list until my SIL said she wanted that name because it was their grandmother's name.

Re: Name help needed!
Liliana Eleanor is definitely an option.
For Eleanor, we probably would use the nickname Ellie.
I know this sounds like a stretch, but Easter was the Saint day of my grandfather (his name was Pasquale - Pasqua is Easter in Italian), which he made a big deal of, and this child was conceived around the time he passed away (it was a rough spring for our family). He considered Easter lilies his flower.
Ugh, decisions! Maybe it will be a boy and we will be set!
