Nanny pricing - twins
How much would you expect to pay per week for a nanny for newborn/infant twins...9 hours/day for 3 days/week? 4 days? 5 days?

Re: Nanny pricing - twins
I think you can offer whatever you want and see if they will take it.
Our nanny works 36 hours a week- over 3 days and gets paid $400. This is for DS and his friend, who comes for about 14-21 hours a week. They are the same age- so pretty close to toddler twins. It comes out to @ $11 an hour.

Re: Nanny pricing - twins
When I contemplated going back to work, we checked for a full time Nanny and partime. It really varies. Some do housework, some refuse, some have years of experience, some are college kids. so many factors. Range from $45 to $15 and hour.
I will tell you one thing, make sure they have exp with twins, not two kids close in age, not one kid who was as hard as 5 kids, twins is a ENTIRE different animal. It is really hard when they are young even with the best of babies. So you need someone who knows what to do, its not time to train someone.
We just hired a mothers helper, few hours a week and she charges $15 an hour. She is finishing up her degree in early childhood.
ETA have her start when your still on maternity so you can take her thru the schedule and YOUR routine a few times before she is alone with them.

Re: Nanny pricing - twins
I returned to work in September when my daughters were 15 months. We pay our babysitter $20 per hour. The hours are noon til 5pm, some weeks 3 days a week, some weeks 5 days a week. Also, I work sometimes on Sundays. She comes to our house and is amazing!!! ALso 2 weeks paid vacation at $500 per week( Christmas and July 4).

Re: Nanny pricing - twins
I have an AuPair and for both of my children the weekly rate is 197. That is mandated by the State Department.
