Nap ? for 3-4 Month Moms

Do you put your DC "down" for a nap, or just let them sleep whenever they want to?

TIA!

I put Molly down wide awake and she goes right to sleep. Except now that she can roll over we play this little game where she rolls over, I flip her back so she will sleep and it continues while she laughs her little heart out! Chat Icon

I let her nap in the swing for the big nap. I let her sleep as long(or short Chat Icon )as she likes. She catnaps while I BF her throughout the day.

He has a pretty set nap schedule except for the afternoon (Like right now) when he usually tends to be a crankier than the rest of the day. So when it is his nap time, I usually get away with putting him right down.

My DS would NEVER nap if I just put him down awake at any particular time. We usually wait for the signs that he is tired (cranky, yawning, rubbing eyes) and rock him to sleep, then put him down in the swing (he won't sleep in the crib during the day). Some days he takes no naps.

Their morning nap was scheduled, however the afternoon was anywhere from 2 or 4 depending on feeding and their activity. Then they took an evening nap in their bouncy, usually after the ate dinner.

Re: Nap ? for 3-4 Month Moms

DS falls asleep on the boob and I move him onto the couch with his binky.

He takes three pretty predictable naps:
30-50 minutes two hours after he wakes up.
Then two hours later he takes another nap 1-2 hours long
Then another nap around 6 or 7pm for 30-60 minutes.

We put him down to bed in his crib at 9pm- sometimes he sleeps through till 7am- sometimes he is up a few times. We do a dream feed at 11pm.

But, I wish he would nap in his crib and I know it is a bad habit that for naps and for bed he only can fall asleep on the boob or baba.
