Nap Nanny vs. Car Seat?
I first heard of the Nap Nanny when pregnant with DD, but never thought it would be worth the $...
Now I have a 7 week old with reflux and I've heard it's amazing for that because it positions the baby more upright BUT you can't use it in the crib? Only on the floor?
Wasn't it originally made to mimic how they are positioned in the carseat?
How is it different?
Just wondering if I should get a Nap nanny, but during the day we keep him in the carseat or swing.

Re: Nap Nanny vs. Car Seat?
DS has reflux and has been sleeping in the FP rock and play for the past 8 weeks, since we had him. I wanted the sleep nanny, and heard great things about it..but never got it.
I have heard of many people using the car seat...however, I was told that it was not good for reflux because of the way the baby sits...the legs are high and it puts way too much pressure on the stomach....
good luck!

It is wonderful!! I wish it was around when DS #1 was an infant. He had horrible refulx and they really had nothing on the market for that. DS #2 has a little refulx, and sleeps great in it.

Re: Nap Nanny vs. Car Seat?
For my DD who had reflux, we had her sleep in the carseat. We even put books under the seat to tilt it forward more. She didn't like the RNP in the beginning.
We bought the nap nanny but returned it because she didn't sleep any better in there than she did in the carseat.
Try the RNP and propping the carseat a little more forward. Make sure you buckle your LO in though.
A crib wedge may help too. We use it in the pack n play for naps.

Nap Nanny vs. Car Seat?
The Nap Nanny has been recalled because of infant deaths. If you have one, you can return it for store credit without a receipt. BBB is refunding $139.00 for it.
