Nap schedule?

Does your baby have a predictable nap schedule. Kevin's naps are so random and everything I read say GET ON A SCHEDULE because babies are "creatures of habit" and are more at ease when they know whats coming next in the day but can you really schedule a 3 month old?

Re: Nap schedule?

Asbolutely, at that age I think Aidan was up for 2 hours then nap, eat up for 2 then nap.

Now he's very predictable with his nap as well, he sleeps from about 8:30pm to 8:30-9am then a nap from 12:30 to 2pm or longer.

So the duration of sleep / awake ratio will change over time but you should see a nice pattern if you try to get them into a "schedule"

Re: Nap schedule?

Sidney is 3 months old and I'm working on a schedule right now. Its pretty much following the "Baby Whisperer" book pattern. E.A.S.Y Eat, Activity, Sleep, You time. The only problem is the nap time. If I miss the window to put her to sleep all hell breaks loose. She always wants the boob to fall back to sleep. I have been doing everything under the sun today to get her to nap wthout it. Walks, pacifier, rocking...so far I've won all but one battle today Chat Icon

This is every 2 hours....depending on the length of nap.

Seems like today there was not a lot of Activity though because I am so obsessed with catching her sleepy signs and trying to get her to sleep without her wailing. I am going to get the book Healthy Sleep Habits happy baby...hopefully that will help.

P.S....still haven't showered or brushed my teeth today Chat Icon Its been one of those days

Re: Nap schedule?

No real schedule for the twins - aside wake by 7:30, mid morning nap and asleep by 9:00 or 10:00 at night.
