Naples, Florida

I am looking into booking a vacation package for myself, DH, and DD for the end of June.

Those of you that have been, do you recommend it as a family vacation? We love the beach and are looking into staying at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort.

My ILs own a condo in Naples and DH and I go down with them every once in a while. Naples is really beautiful but quite expensive. Downtown Naples has quaint little boutiques and great restaurants, but again, VERY pricey. Not places I would take my kids to eat.

The beach is very nice and if you're willing to do a day trip, the Everglades arent far and you can do a swamp tour on one of those fan boats (very fun)!

I booked it!
We're staying 4 nights 5 days at the Ritz Carlton. Got a great hotel package rate and airfare.

Any recommendations on things to do/places to see?

We have been going down there for 30 years !

Try Dixie Moon Cafe - on Old 41 in Bonita Springs....Really laid back- and casual - small. They have great comfort food - green fried tomatoes !

Try also Coconut Point - a few good restaurants. A great huge outdoor shopping experience.

Try Rhodes Fish Market on Bonita Beach Road - it used to be a fish type shack place, but now they have upscaled to a new building.

Tommy Bahama in downtown Naples is always fun/good.

My brother's love Buffalo Chips on Old 41, but really not my type of place.

There is a 'zoo' near the mall in Naples on "41". I forget the actual name of it.

We are going this week--have fun. The Ritz Carlton has a great tunfish sandwich --which I've had many times.

Ice Cream - Try the Royal Scoop off of "Vanderbuilt". Pricey !
