Napping Schedule

At what age did your baby get into a daily napping schedule. My daughter is just over 2 months and we are not in any type of napping schedule during the day..she does sleep but she just falls asleep whenever and where-ever. The night time is pretty good but not always the same. Should i be doing things to get her into a routine..it is just hard b/c everyday seems to start a little different depending on how the night goes. Can a baby sleep too much during the day at 9 weeks?? Thanks

Re: Napping Schedule

For now I'd just let her sleep whenever. Don't worry about schedules until she's a few months older.

Re: Napping Schedule

We're at 3 months and still no napping schedule - he does go down around 9 or 10 each morning but not consistently and the other naps are a crap shoot. He naps a little better now that he's in daycare (compared to home w/me where he doesn't nap at all). At 9 wks just don't let them sleep long enough to rob them of nighttime sleep. More than 3-4 hours tops.

I agree no more than 3-4 hours. I find it so hard to go by a set schedule. Especially since my little man is a light sleeper and I never know how long his naps are going to last...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
