Narrowing down names...when we don't agree on any
any useful ideas or tips to help DH and I narrow down some names?
so far we don't really agree on any...he tends to like very common names and I like less common names.
Example...he likes Anna I suggested...Anaya (which is a variation of Anna) He of course hates it.
P.S. we still don't know boy or girl...we are hoping to find out tomorrow, and I pray that will help narrow things down.

Re: Narrowing down names...when we don't agree on any
First we both agreed not use a first name after anyone deceased since we both have people we respect it was just sensitive. We agreed to use his Dad's name as the middle name if we had a boy.
Then my Dh and I each did our own top 10 list (boy and girl) and then looked to see if we had any commonalities. We listened to why we disliked the others first choice (was it sound, reminded of past person, etc.) We narrowed it down to my compromise for a boy and girl, and his compromise for a boy and girl. He felt strongly about a particular girl name and I felt strongly about a particular boy name...so we agreed if its a boy we go with my name and if its a girl we go with his name. Of course there was some compromise, but I'm very happy with the name we finally agreed on!!!
Hope that makes sense!!
Good luck at your Level II today!

Re: Narrowing down names...when we don't agree on any
both of you make a list of names you like for boys and girls.
Then swap.
Make a new list from the other one's list.
Pick from there
