Nasal Congestion- Is it normal?
The ped's office said it was at his age, but this is all sooo new to me, That I
Worry over every little thing right now.
I am using Saline drops and suctioning the mucus out of his nose twice a day ...
Does he have a cold? Or congestion is just normal?

It is normal in the beginning...my son was constantly congested and we found out that he had a formula allergy..they switched him to neocate and it cleared up

DS had this since he was born and the pediatrician said it was normal. She suggested the saline drops as well.

Amelia is the same way, i pull out huge boogies/mucus everyday, she does have a formula allergy and is on Alimentum, but that didn't clear it up.
PED told us too that newborn congestion is normal.

Yup, my dd too! But she also got a cold which stuck around for 2wks so that didnt help.
saline drops...works.

How did they diagnosis it?
Meaning how do you know if its an allergy versus normal congestion?
I guess the ped would have mentioned it.
