Nassau Locations for 1st Bday

I know it's been asked a bunch of times and I did a search, but I'm hoping some of you will come up with some more ideas. My DS' first birthday is coming up in April. We had a large bris and so we want to keep his first birthday party relatively small - family only. Any ideas on locations that aren't too expensive in Nassau? We will have about 15 people (we both have small families). TIA!

I rented out the Firehouse on Newbridge (north of Hempstead Tpk - I can't remember if it's East Meadow, Westbury or Levittown since it's a mess up there with town lines) for DS' 1st. We had about 35 ppl... it was cheap! I think $400-500 for four hours. We had to supply food (which I made). We also had to pay for the keg for the bar. It was a great place. I think in total we paid $700 (with food and drink and place).

I have been looking, but for a lot more people. With only 15 people you dont need to rent a room - you can just make a reservation at a restaurant. In fact, most places wont rent out private space for that few people. Let me know if you need any suggestions.

Agreed I just don't know what restaurants I should be looking into that aren't too formal and not too expensive for a first birthday party... I'd appreciate ANY ideas! Thanks!

What is your ideal location and price range?
