Where did you have your christening party and how many people did you have?

Re: Nassau mommies....

we had Emily's christening at Nick DiAngelo's in Merrick. We had just moved down to the South Shore right before we had her, so it took us a while to find a place we liked.

They are closed for the day - only open for daytime parties so we had the place to ourselves which was nice. We had about 35 adults and 8 kids I think. Full lunch which was delicious, open bar - wasn't too expensive.

We were really happy with everything.

Where in Nassau are you looking to go? There are a bunch of great places on the North Shore that I know....

I had Julia's at La Parma in Oceanside. My whole family loves it there, the food is sooooooo good. We had about 45 people, and they have nice size rooms. If you call ask for Richie, hes the owner. Chat Icon

Re: Nassau mommies....

Our Church didn't do Christenings until 2 pm and was an hour long, so that put us in a little bit of a pickle in finding a good place at that time. We wound up at Filomena's and I cannot say enough good things about them...the food was beyond incredible, the room was separate and huge...and they were SOOOOO accomodating...many guests raved about it and said they were going back for dinner...

We had about 65 people...and 8 kids(kid's are half price)

Where is Filomena's?

I am in New Hyde Park but the christening will probably be at St Brigids in westbury so anywhere between westbury and New Hyde or Floral Park would be good.

We had about 30 people at Hemingway's in Wantagh. There was a bigger party upstairs, and we had the private downstairs room in the front.

Re: Nassau mommies....

what about Benny's in Westbury? The decor isn't really my taste, but I think they recently remodeled a bit, and the food is outstanding!

We had my son's christening party at Cafe Testarossa in Syosset. I highly recommend them. Their food and service are great. We invited only family and had about 50 people.
