nassau univ. med. center - water birth
Hi,
I am newly pregnant and am starting research on hospitals/birthing centers that offer water birthing tubs. So far it seems as though the only place that offers a water birth is Nassau University Medical Center. I am hoping to find some referrals for female doctors who deliver at NUMC, and also whether women have had positive or negative experiences there.
I am also considering South Nassau and would be appreciative of any reviews.
Thank you!

Re: nassau univ. med. center - water birth
I didn't do a water birth there. But, I had planned to. I had pre-e and had to be induced because I was very sick.
I didn't use a dr but I used Gaia Midwifery. They were wonderful. They consulted with Madonna high risk and the staff doctors were wonderful.
The nurses at NUMC really let the midwives take over once the labor got started (54 hour induction) and I was able to stand and get out of bed, eat and I had a epi free birth.
Check them out. They are great.
