Free, annual, family-friendly event
Focus: Neighborhood safety, child safety, and police awareness
DATE: Tuesday, August 3, 5:00pm to 8:00pm
PLACE: William Floyd High School - North Side
FEATURES:
Fire and EMS: Fire trucks, vehicle, and ambulance demonstrations.
Free, fun, family-friendly activities, events, and dozens of exhibits.
Music/DJ
Bounce slide for kids!
Helicopter landing by the Suffolk County Police Department. (Estimated time: 6:30pm)
Child ID Kit tent – Sponsored by New York Life.
Local elected officials.
ADDED INFO:
30 participating community agencies and businesses.
600+ people attended the previous, local National Night Out.
National event held annually since 1984.
Goal: Increase awareness of local police programs, such as neighborhood watch, drug prevention, and other anti-crime initiatives.
