Usually under 2 weeks old:
1. They are super sleepy make them easier to pose
2. Newborn acne usually sets in around 2 weeks old

DD was 13 days old when we did ours. Like the others have said... I think they ideally would like them to be under 2 weeks old.

summer said she dodes it like 4 days old or so but i got held up a little due to an emergency dnc so i did it at 12 days. it was a little harder ut still fine.

DD was a week old that day....they tell you that they are typically done within 10 days of birth.

Mine is coming the day or so after I get out of the hospital.
You can photograph "babies" anytime but for newborns its typically first week but I think less than 2 weeks or the typical 10 days if you want scrunchy, posable, newborns that make for great pix.

exactly, I had my DS's done when he was 9 days old (he did NOT SLEEP at all for the shoot though)  once the photog left, fast asleep within minutes

DS was 6 days old. He slept the entire time because my friend used a heating pad underneath to keep it nice and warm. It worked out great!
