Can I ask how much people are paying to build a custom home in NC area?

Re: NC and building homes
I have found that "custom homes" in NC are actually much higher than buying a house already done in a subdivision.

I priced it about 5 years ago.
Why is it higher? They have have to bring a crew just for one house not for multiple houses on a block. They like to play with the work "custom" and make it "higher end".
