NC people- what to pack for an NC vacation??
Hi NCers, The family and I are going down to NC at the end of May/ beginning of June. I just wanted to know the weather situation down there. Should I bring light jackets for the kids at night? Does it get cool in the evening?
Also...where's a nice place to bring the kids? They are 5 and 2 years old. We are mainly going to be going around with a realtor checking out the developments and model homes! But I figure I have to throw some fun in there somewhere. (We're going to Virginia first for 5 days to go to Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, and Water Country USA...so the trip DOES have it's fun parts for the kids. )
Any NC info is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much!!

What part of NC will you be visiting? It's a big state.

It is already hot! you wont need jackets unless you're in or near the mountains, but I'd bring a sweatshirt just in case it rains. What part of NC?

Hahaha...that might help. We are staying in Raleigh and will be around the Wake Forest, North Raleigh, Cary area.

It'll be warm this time of year. If anything, might need a light jacket or sweatshirt for the kids at night in case it rains. Other than that, it's shorts and bathing suit weather down there this time of year.
I went to college in Chapel Hill. I love the triangle area. My parents are retiring to Southern Pines, and my FH and I are going to visit them down there next month. I can't wait to take a little detour around the triangle are. I love the outskirts of Raleigh and Carey!
Good luck house hunting!!

Thanks so much for the tips. I can't wait to see the areas myself. If it is HALF as gorgeous as everyone says, I know we are going to fall in LOVE with it. Thanks so much!!! I'll be sure to report when we get back!!
