NCL- kids cruise free
I just saw a NCL promotion on Facebook for select fall sailings. For example, I just priced out a 7 night Florida/Bahamas cruise out if NY in 2 bedroom suite for only $4090.

Re: NCL- kids cruise free
Anyone know how often they offer this? We already have our trip booked this year and I didn't choose a cruise this time bc I couldn't see paying $500 for a 1 yr old

its a great promotion for little kids under 5. The sailings start the first week of school, so unless you are willing to have your child miss a week of school, its just not fesable.
I spoke to a rep at NCL and he told me that they call it the "Naughty Parents Sale", for those who are bad and are willing to allow their kids to miss a week of school for this trip!
I missed this deal by a week. I am sailing a week before the promotion weeks begin.

It's probably a better deal for families who live in the south because their kids go back to school in August. So it's not as bad as our kids missing the first week of school.

Re: NCL- kids cruise free
I almost booked the European cruise in September but we decided not to book at the end. I was getting conflicting information about their kid's club and supervised childcare. One rep told me DH and I could go on shore excursions and place our 2yo in the kid's club for $6.95/hr (4yo DS supposedly would have been free). Then another rep told me that kids 2 and under were only allowed to participate in activities when a parent was present.
Ultimately we did not put the deposit down because our 2yo could not be in kid's club and could not go in the pools while wearing a swim diaper.
Now I'm annoyed because their sales reps keep calling me to try to get me to book for 2014 when DS#2 is 3yo and can participate in the kid's club.

Can you tell them to contact you only when kids cruise free again?

Re: NCL- kids cruise free
On any cruise line or vacation, the best deals are going to be when kids are in school. They make the promotions to fill ships and resorts when normal demand is lower. Just the way it is. They don't make promotions for us, they make them to suit their own needs. it's great when you find the promotion that works for you.
I'm always bummed because the best deals are often in January and September and those are 2 months when I am not allowed to take off from work at all.
