Need a 2nd car seat suggestion
We have a Britax car seat for my car since I will have the baby in my car most of the time. But we need to get a 2nd car seat for DHs car. Any suggestions? I don't want to have to spend another $300+ but I want a good/safe seat.

the britax seats don't work with bases. Only the infant seats do.
We got the Evenflo Triumph for our second seat. It is very highly rated and was only about $120.

OK that's what I thought - only the infant seats have the bases. Thats what we do now w/ our Graco.
I'll check out that car seat you mentioned  I've read good things about it on Consumer Rpts too

I have the graco comfort sport as my primary and I love it!
The people @ BRU that helped me with registering told me- safety wise that and the Britax rate the same.... however the britax is more "luxury"....
She said it was like comparing a toyota and a mercedes

I'm in the same boat as you Kathy. We are either going with the Evenflo triumph or the Graco Comfortsport. Both are a little over $100.

We actually returned our Britax and bought THREE Comfort Sports for the same price. The Britax is too big for my car and for JT's car, so after reading the safety reviews and people's reviews of it on here, we just went with the Comfort Sport. Now my car, JT's car and my parents' car have a carseat. All for the price of the Britax.

I do have to say though ... after having a Britax and having the Evenflo as well, NOTHING can ever compaire to the Britax -- unless all the other seats take the features that it has.
The biggest difference (aside from the padding and stuff, the britax just seems so much more comfo to me) is the installation. Our Graco infant seats as well as the Evenflo were definately more work to install then the Britax.
I am not saying that they aren't good seats -- and if my parents didn't buy it for us we wouldn't even have it -- but I do love my Britax and I'm glad we have it for my car, and was happy with the decision to get an Evenflo for our 2nd seat.

Oooh thanks Donna! I'll check this out.
I like the Britax and it will fit in my car - we both have SUVs so size isn't really a big deal (I don't think). Thanks for the suggestions girls! I still have a little while with Katie in the infant seat but I want to get things together - planning ahead when I can :)

we are going to use the evenflo triumph in mine and Dhs car (using infant seat right now though) it was rated very good in safety.
