Need a nanny/sitter for 3 full days in October - where to find?
DC will be 10 months (gag) and ILs, who normally watch them when I work PT, are going away for a week in October. My mom can't fly in that week, our usual back-up sitter is a teacher and will be working. We don't have anyone else and I can't take any more days off - I could possibly work from home one day but that doesn't solve the whole problem. Any suggestions of where to look? We are in South Nassau. TIA

Not too unrelated - if John had just agreed with me that we should start them now instead of waiting until the end of the year, we wouldn't have this problem! But I think we will be going with L&L as soon as spots open in January.
How is Loey liking it?

Try absolutebestcare.com. We are using them for their babysitting services for my DD during my sisters wedding.

How is Loey liking it?
He's only been there 3 days so far! He went Mon/Tues/Thurs of last week. On Thurs we got a letter that he might have been exposed to Coxsackie... and he ended up getting a really mild case so we kept him home this week just to be safe (they were closed Mon/Thurs/Fri of this week anyway so he only missed 1 of his days).
He's obviously still adjusting, but we love the place so far!

check out daycares - some have emergency care - (aka pay per day) and it might be a good way to try out the day care for a short time -
mine in melville does this but there are probably others
