Need a new baby monitor- any recs?
Debating on whether i should just get a video monitor with 2 cameras, or just get 2 new audio monitors?
We have 1 sony monitor now and while it was great, DD1 is 19 months today and it recently started to crap out. So, in addition to needing one for DD2, i need a new one for DD1, also.
I had been fine with audio all this time, eventhough there were definitely times where i did wish we had a video- it wasnt so overwhelming that i regretted not getting one. The problem is- it seems like ALL of the monitors i've looked at (both audio and video) have such blah ratings. 3 stars, at most. So i'm torn about spending $300 on something that suckss, when i could spend $140 on 2 things that ssuck 
Any recommendations? Or, any that i should definitely stay away from? I want to pick it up today or tomorrow, so i'm really not doing my usual crazy research that i usually do.

I have the Summer Infant Handheld one (I think its called slimline or something) and I like it a lot!
I know some others on here have raved about their summer one....I forgot the name, maybe someone will post about it
ETA: I looooove having a video one!

I have the summer infant video monitor where the monitor looks almost like a cell phone and LOVE it! I love being able to see him and you can turn the volume up or down or have it not on at all...but it's nice to be able to see my DS when I am downstairs and he is up...

with the summer monitors, can you also turn the screen off, but leave the sound on? (sorry if this sounds completely clueless- i really haven't researched it at all  )
