need a new (relaxing) hobby
One of my new years's resolutions is to find a hobby for myself. i have no idea where to start!
i would prefer something relaxing, not too time-consuming (can be stopped and returned to, does not require 5 hrs to finish in one sitting) and NOT expensive. i'm a bit of a perfectionist, so nothing that will frustrate me when it's not perfect.
right now i enjoy: reading, jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, sudoku.
any recommendations???

Re: need a new (relaxing) hobby
i knit and crochet.
i learned to crochet at age 7 and to knit at 27.
i like them because you can make anything... something big or small. in knitting, there really are only two stitches: knit and purl.
i make all sorts of things: sweaters, socks, scarves shawls, etc... BUT you don't have to make anything like that.
you can knit or crochet washcloths. cotton yarn is pretty darn cheap: you can find it at michaels, ac moore, or walmart. it comes in small skeins that are about $2-$3 or in cones... i don't know how much those are.
washcloths can also be made of more luxurious yarns... cotton with linen.
washcloths can be given as holiday gifts with a fancy handmade soap.
if you image google knit/crochet washcloths, you'll find all sorts of beautiful ones, but the plain ones are just as wonderful.
hope that helps.

I never look on this board but if you didn't find a hobby try the adult coloring books! I'm obsessed! I love getting new gel pens and colored pencils and the Secret Garden coloring book is great
