Need a new video monitor

please recommend your video monitor.

Our safety 1st starts to buzz so loudly every time DD makes any sounds, it is waking us up and driving us nuts. The buzzing sound continues until another sound is made or we go into her room to turn it off on her end.

we have summer infant day and night handheld. So far so good.

It's been a great monitor. But after 19 months I think the handheld is starting to go. Probably because Ryan has been generous to drop it a few hundred times. The display is still clear but the volume wheel thingy is on its way out. It's just not as sensitive as it used to be.

Summer Infant Monitor vote...never had any problems with it. DH bought us a more advanced monitor (where you can control it's direction in the room), and the interference is terrible...I can't have the sound on at all. No problems like that with the Summer monitor.

Well we have 2 summer ones. DD#1's is in great condition and works perfectly- even though she is next door with the door closed it is hard to hear her so we still need ours. DD#2 on the other hand hers is not in good condition. The screen has pixels that are out, and the sound is driving me crazy it keeps going on and off which isn't good b.c we need it with her since she wakes frequently and can get hysterical. I can kind of hear her thru the wall but I am a sound sleeper so I really need the monitor but it seems like it is either on very loud or NO sound. So we will have to replace ours as well.
