Need a Ped recommendation in the Huntington/Northport/Cold Spring Harbor area
DD is due in May and I really want to start looking for a pediatrician. I am hoping for a practice that is in the Huntington or surrounding areas. Hopefully a decent size practice with good hours and some NP's and/or PA's since they tend to be more accommodating with last minute appointments if needed. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. TIA

We see Dr. Siev at the Huntington Medical Group. Great hours. Can always be seen immediately for "emergencies." They also have walk-in hours from 8am - 9am during the week----super convenient for working parents. Dr. Siev is great w/ my kids!

Dr. Bruce Gergerg, I believe he is also the head of Huntington Hospital Pediatrics.

We see Dr. Greg Gulbransen in Oyster Bay. Oyster Bay Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

We use Dr Kurfist, in Huntington but right on the Centerport border on 25A. There are 3 docs in the practice. I think they are fabulous. My DS is only 9 months old, but the practice was recommended to me by my sister and a friend who have older kids.

I a million times recommend Dr. Rubin in Mineola. I live in huntington and travel to her b/c she is amazing! Especially if you plan on BF - she is a lactation consultant also.
She was chosen as the top ped. on long island also

Us too. They have always been able to get us in for an appointment the same day and Dr Siev is great.

Us too. They have always been able to get us in for an appointment the same day and Dr Siev is great.
us three! I have never not gotten a same day appt...7 days a week. Dr. Siev is very nice and always always calls the next day to follow up on how DC are feeling.

We also go to Huntington Medical Group - We go to Dr McDonagh. He always calls the following day or so to follow up if the kids are sick. Their morning walk-ins and Sunday hours have been a life saver

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Kurfist. I know several people who also use the practice and love it. My son was in Huntington NICU for a month and I got to know the nurses really well. They were always happy when I told them who I was going to being using for a ped. One nurse told me that I had the "A" team (both my OBGYN and Ped choices). Several of the nurses there use him which was also a big endorsement for me since they see all the peds and that is who they choose for their children.
