Need a place for 1st B-day

Can anybody recommend a place where I can have DD's first birthday party? I would like to have it April 21st (I know I should've booked a long time ago). I would prefer to have a place that has a big party room where I can bring in a DJ or something like that. I'm not really too picky, but I don't really want to spend $40+ per person.

Does anybody have any suggestions, in the western Suffolk to mid-Suffolk area?

How about a VFW or a Knights of Columbus. They usually charge for the room (not per person). Some include a bartender and drinks. You'll have to cater, but there is usually room for a DJ. This is what I did for my older son's first birthday and for both of my sons' Christenings.

My son's first birthday was at the Memorare Club (KofC in Seaford). The place was great. We had a waitress, bartenders... the bar was great. Dance floor and room for a DJ... I am dying to have another party there, lol...

I think Seaford might be too far for you, but I'm sure there are VFW halls out there too! Also, some fire houses can be rented for parties, although, not sure if you need to know someone in the FD.

I just had DD's first birthday on sunday at the knights of columbus in hicksville. They charge you to rent the room. Then per person it was $22. We did wine, beer and soda. We didn't have a DJ. We hooked up our ipod. We had Elmo and a Clown there so there was really no need for a DJ.

It's so funny you posted this because I had checked them out already but they are booked for the date I want. Ordinarily I wouldn't really want to go that far west, but my father used to work there so I figured I would start with them.
