Our HOA is hosting a beach party and everyone has to bring a covered dish. I was thinking of a dip I serve with crustini bread that is yummy but is that really a covered dish?

What is the definition of a covered dish? I have a great taco salad recipe that everyone always loves - also very quick and easy.

That's my question as well. I'm not sure what constitutes a covered dish, other then the obvious - a covered dish. Chat Icon

From searching around on-line, a covered dish recipe seems to be anything that is made casserole style and can be kept warm in a "covered dish."

If you do a search for covered dish recipes, some will pop up to give you ideas . . .
