Need advice about a major hair change... Pic included!!!
This is me....
And I'm thinking of doing this to my hair...
Same color and everything. My hair is very very long now, almost waist length. This would be a major change.
What do you think??? I need objective advice!!!!

Go for it! I just changed my color & cut off 4 inches...so liberating! I always chop & change it...it's hair, it grows back!

I say definitely cut it and that color is great! Not too blond, seems like a nice rich color.

Honest opinion, if you are able to keep up with it, then go for it.
I have never done any drastic color changes, but used to get highlights frequently and just realized that for me, it was getting too expensive to keep up with it all the time.
I'd be worried about going to a blondish-color and then it looking trailer-trashy if you couldn't get it done professionally frequently.
I hope this doesn't come across as mean because I think color can be a great look for most people.

I think it's really pretty! My advice though is a drastic change in cut AND color (though it may look awesome!) .. may be too much to get used to all at once. I would do the cut first... and then the color a few weeks later!! For ME, this is what I would have to do because I'm bad with adjusting to changes!!

No, I totally get what you're saying!! Not mean at all.
I have a friend who does hair non-professionally, so I would have her touch me up from time to time.

Haha, that's funny, because for me, I have to just do it all at once, or I will never follow through with the whole thing. I'm an all-or-nothing kind of girl

I LOVE IT! I actually have hair as dark as yours and did the same thing to it. My only warning is that it requires a LOT of maintenance. Touchup to the base color at least every month and a highlight every 8 weeks or so. It's awesome though!!!!!
