rach, michael saw it tonight and now it looks like a hunter green color not very large. my neighbor who's been a nurse for 30 years is going to look at it tomorrow and then i'll make a decision on what to do. thanks ladies.

it is probably a blood clot behind the nail - it will cause the nail to die above i t- if it hrs her still they can create a hole in the nail to kessen the pressure - but that amy be hard to get a 1 year old to sit to do that

it will usually heal on its own - just watch as the old nail dies off and new one grow back

its not behind her nail its on the tip of her finger. her finger nail is completely fine. looks like a hunter green marker on the tip of her finger and the tip is inflamed.

It really sounds like a nasty bruise..my little sisters had that happen at times, bruises can get all kinds of colors.

I wouldn't worry too much..if there was an infection you would probably know. If she seems happy, no fever etc i think you are safe. Good luck! I know how upsetting it can be when things happen to your baby Chat Icon
