Need advice on fingerprinting please....
I was told I need to be fingerprinted before applying for a position in a public school in Nassau county. I don't know how to go about doing it. Where... do I need an appointment... etc?

Have you gotten fingerprinted through NYS yet?
If not go through TEACH online. It takes awhile but if you pay online it goes much faster.

I was already did it once and have a clearance certificate that says it is valid only for Nassau Boces. Do you think I have to do it again or maybe I can ask the state for another certificate since my fingerprints are already on file - for a fee, of course!

I was fingerprinted about 10 years ago for the NYC BOE and they are still good. I work for an agency and some districts request the clearance and i get a paper from the State with the District that requested name on it. But you should be in the system if you were finger printed already.

there's a place next to southside HS in RVC that does electronic fingerprinting- it gets sent that day and the approval process is so quick. you pay a little bit more but i knew where & when they were submitted (and documented).
