need advice re" a friend and her now Ex boyfriend.. UGHH
Ok my friend has been dating the is guy for almost a year ( the 24th is a year) last night he breaks up with her out of nowhere tells her that his feelings never really progreesed from the initial "crush" he had once had on her. Ok it takes you a YEAR to figure ths out?***.Also they just back form a vaction in July together and they wree really serious. Now she always is gettig dumped or meeting assholes so tonight i am probobly going to see her what can i do? I want to get her someting to cheer her up any ideas? I feel terrible my Dh and i had a bet that she was going to get enged on her annioversary i guess Dh won that bet.

IMO....take her mind off of the guy....Sitting and rehashing and wallowing only makes it really worse...
I would take her out to dinner!

Honestly, if she needs to sit and talk about it, let her. She is grieving right now. DH and I had a short breakup (about 6 weeks) a couple of months into the relationship. It was out of the blue and it devastated me (still hard to talk about ) I was in no condition to go out to dinner the night after we broke up. Just be there for her and if she wants to talk and cry, just hold her hand. Hopefully, he'll come to his senses.

Maybe you can bring over some junk food like popcorn, chips, ice cream, cookies, etc. etc. etc.
The main thing is that you just be there for her and listen and comfort her.
