need an orthopedist - knee pain
...Suffolk or Nassau.
What can I expect? Chronic horrible knee pain.

Knee pain is nothing to mess around with or wait around hoping it gets better! The degeneration which comes with certain conditions really makes early treatment essential, and can make all the difference. I have seen family members get full mobility and pain-free living restored, and I have seen others who are virtually disabled and in constant pain because they waited too long.
I would highly advise going to the experts in the tri-state area, the Hospital for Special Surgery; they are not just for surgery! And, if you should require surgery, knee surgery can be complicated and can carry a high risk of infection; their infection rates are the lowest in the country. They have offices in Uniondale, which will save you a trek into the city. Dr. Padgett, Dr. Allen or Dr. Boetner are all good choices. Good luck to you!

I have no cartiledge left in both knees, so in a couple of years I will need both knees replaced.
For now, we did Euflexxa injections, which worked great.
Can't say anything bad about him or his staff, I visited the Garden City and the NYC offices for my shots.
