Can anyone suggest the easiest means of buying leveled books for my classroom library? Also maybe someplace not too expensive although I don't mind spending. I want to be able to purchase a bunch of books quickly that are already leveled. All kinds too- chapter books, non-fiction. Thank you!

Try donorschoose.org Maybe you can find someone to donate so you don't have to spend a fortune.

I also saw something called books by the yard (or something along those lines).
Ebay-look for LOTS of books (meaning you buy a large quantity called a LOT) ;-P
Check out garage sales or thrift stores, too.

Granted, they may not be leveled but you sure can build your library quickly.

I use scholastic. When my kids order books I get lots of points. I then order lots of books that are $1 with my points. I go through all of the catalogs online and pick books that are low priced and good.

Also try the online buy/sell groups. You can post an ISO (in search of) and you will probably get a lot of hits. People sell books on there for cheap.

there's also something that comes up each year in NYC called Project Cicero -- you can bring suitcases and fill them up with a huge assortment of books. It is insane but so worth it!
