need dress advice

so money is very tight these days, and i have two weddings to go to, one in february and one in march.

i have this dress that i want to wear to both:

normally i would not care, but the grooms are brothers-in-law and most of the guests will be the same at both weddings Chat Icon

can anyone think of ways that i can make two fancy outfits out of this dress? i really want to look different for the pics. they are both saturday night weddings, but neither is black tie.

please help!

That is a great dress!

I am not a very fancy person but what I would try to do is go with different themes for the extras. Maybe one wedding do all gold and another do all silver. Or go funky with one wedding ( big costume jewelry) and classic for another wedding. Try different wraps over the dress. Maybe find an inexpensive brooch that you can pin in the middle for one wedding or a little jacket to go over it

Re: need dress advice

That's a great staple LBD - and you can VERY VERY easily make it look totally and completely different -

Wedding #1 you can wear it w/ minimal jewlery, your hair all up and black or metallic shoes ........and go very classic -

Wedding #2 you can wear your hair down w/ bright shoes and funky or fun jewlery - and go very .......I don't know - funky? Artsy? Trendy?

Whatever -

This reminds me of Marge Simpson and her 1 Chanel suit Chat Icon Chat Icon .

Black is always classic. Switch up your accessories. Wear brightly colored shoes and a matching clutch to one wedding and to the next wear all black.

If you really want a new dress that won't break the bank check out JC Penney. I just went dress shopping with my friend. She had a wedding the next day (nothing like the last minute) and she found a dress she really liked for $17.99. I know you said you didn't want a new dress but if you are going to be buying different accessories to make your original dress look different it may be cheaper to buy a new dress.

Lori - FM me - if you feel like taking a ride I have a TON of dresses that frankly, my fat arse is never getting into again.

You're more than welcome to them (plus I want to get my hands on the little man).

Re: need dress advice

I would accessorize them differently, maybe different shoes and a wrap perhaps. I got a very similar dress for a Saturday wedding
