Need dress ideas fast!!!!!!!!! Please, please help me. (Edited with pics of my type)
Can you please give me ideas for a dress that may look good on an apple shaped woman? I tried my dresses on today for a wedding next weekend and things were not good.
Recently, my belly is nearing the size of my breasts. HORRIFIC!!! I need to figure out something that will possibly hide my belly. (I tried spanx, it doesn't really help.)
I obviously can't find something online. So I need ideas for what to look for in the stores.
TIA!!!!!!
ETA: I put some pics below of tops that I like on my pathetic body right now. Any dresses like those tops below? (Just the shape of the dress, not necessarily with a pattern like that. Need a bit more formal.)

I gotten lucky at Macys & Lord & Taylor. I saw some nice ones at Lane Bryant last week.

Thanks! I was thinking about Macys, but wasn't sure if they had plus sized clothing. I need a shopper.

I have some nice blouses and pants that I am very happy with. My husband told me to get a dress. 
I wish he was the one that passed an 11 1/2 pound kid out of his belly.

I would try empire waits first. A-line/trapeze style, but maybe with some sort of tie in the back so you don't look bigger than you are (I hate when they are too flowy). Basically, anything hi-waisted with a looser bottom should do the trick. You can try Estelles, Catherine's usually has dressier dresses and the Lane Bryant in Roosevelt Field seems to carry more dressier stuff. Have fun and good luck!

How about this dress? It comes in a few colors too and I think you can totally put a shrug over it.

Or something like this?
Not necessarily floral and weird patterned like this, but with this type of top? They have been the best on my waistline since having DS.

Try Lord and Taylor, they have a great dressier dress department and they also do alterations.

BTW, I would not hold yourself to plus sizes either! You look great and I bet you would do fine in regular womens sizes. I totally recommend JCP, I have found some great dresses there. If you need a shopping partner, let me know - I actually need a dress for a wedding too

Macy's in Roosevelt Field has a nice selection in their plus size department - much better than Smithhaven.

I use a waist cincher in addition to to spanx, but you could probably do the waist cicnehr alone. I think I got it in Lord & Taylor--it's by Flexees.
I usually look for dresses that are high waisted, but not empire--mostly b/c my boobs don't fit in empire & also b/c sometimes, below the waist line can be too shapeless.

Something like this would probably work. Also, in the pic you posted, you don't really seem plus-sized to me.
Of course, you know what fits, but if you are in between, like I am, stores like Dress Barn, that carry up to 16 in misses, might work. 14W or 16W is different that a regular 14 or 16.
