Need European Recommendations, please!
For 2009, and for his 30th bday gift, I wanted to surprise DH with a trip to Europe. I've been to Ireland twice, and only got to visit England for a few days on holiday. My parents did a group trip (don't know who through, tho - maybe Globus Tours) through Wales, Scotland and England and they're pictures and stories were beautiful.
Does anyone have any recommendations for tour companies for a 8-10 night/day trip. It can be anywhere for Great Britain, Ireland, or even Italy, France, Germany, etc.

I only travel with Club ABC. You have to pay to be a member (think it's only $40 a year for a household). I have researched other tour companies and while some other companies may be a little cheaper, they dont offer what Club ABC does. We are going to Italy next year for 12 days (Rome, Venice and Florence). Four and Five star hotels, most of the "important" tours, and many of your meals along with roundtrip airfare from JFK for about 3K pp (depending on what month you wanted to go). I have my most recent catalog here if you want me to tell you what certain tours cost just FM me. You can get general pricing information from their website at: Club ABC

My sister used to work Sceptre Ireland... they do tours to Ireland and have recently branched out a bit to include Scotland, Wales and England. They have some great tours, i personally like to do things on my own, but my sister went on many of their tours for work and said they were great for people that really just want to see the key things.
don't quote me, but i think the website is sceptreireland.com
i've been to Italy a lot (FIL is from there so there is a family house there) but we've never done a formal tour there, just day trips from the house.
