Need get-away ideas!

Our 3 year wedding/12 year dating anniversary is coming up on 8/31/05. Also, my bday is a week after our anniversary. We won't be able to do anything on our actual anniversary, but we might be able to do something after it. We have been soooooooo stressed out. We really need to get away for a few days. But, we want to take our 19 month old son with us. Whenever we don't have him with us we miss him too much, so we just thought that maybe we'd go somewhere where we could all do something as a family, but not too expensive. We live in NC but I am clueless as to where we can go since we never go anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas? We could go to the mountains, but there's not much a 19 month old can do there. It's a great place if he was 7. We're not beach people so we can't do that. I just don't know!

We are going to Gatlinburg, Tenn for our late 3 year anniversary when Dh returns. We think the mountains are very family friendly anc ouple friendly... we don't know if were going to take our munckin or not.. Dh and I need quick weekend alone when he gets back.

How about Bush Gardens in Virginia or Charleston, SC(historic place) Also look for festivals going on within driving distance they always have fun stuff for kids.
