Need help - dog training related
We have a3 yo Jack russell who is completely house trained and has been crate trained since she was a puppy. She stays in the crate while we are at work (it's only 1 day a week that both DH and I are at work at the same time)
We went away in December and had to board her for the weekend. Since then, she has been having accidents in the crate almost every time she goes in the crate- even if she takes a long walk before we leave. Any advice on how to break this new habit?

Do you think she was left in the crate at the boarding place and now has anxiety over it ? It seems that might be it? I would call the place to find out how often they took her out or if they even did.. I hate to start anything but I would be very hesitant in boarding her there again.. There are some really horrible places out there .. Is this the first time she has been there?

She was there over the summer for a week and was fine after that. Plus, the reason why we take her there in the first place is bc we have two friends that work there.
