Need help about godparents

We still do not have godparents picked out. I do have an older brother and sister in law a younger brother and my hubby has brothers and sister but live out of town.

Hubby is not really close to my older brother.

Younger brother we could ask but my mom thinks I should have my older brother since he is the oldest!!!! We are closer to my younger brother.


Godmother we did want my best friend but she moved to Florida and not sure when she is coming back up here to visit.

Also not sure then if we should ask his sister she lives out of state and have 4 kids but she doesn't really have the money to be flying up.

We have family for our oldest daughter and longtime friends for our youngest - they all live in NY

I am godmother to my friends daughter and I've never met her.
