Need help brainstorming: 1st birthday party venues?

Unfortunately despite our best efforts, we will not be in a house by DS's 1st birthday Chat Icon So, with it 2.5 months out and the holidays in between DH and I are trying to come up with an alternate plan.

Any any ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated - specific places or just a type of place.

TIA Chat Icon

ETA: I just did the count and it's 9 kids (babies to 4) and 35 "adults" (7yrs and older).

Well, do you have a lot of kids or mainly family and your friends?

If kids, you could do someplace like Little Sunshine or Mommy and Me. If family, I'd do a family restaurant!

We're trying to restrict it to mainly kids. It will probably be about 10 kids (6mos-7 years) and about 20-25 adults and teens.

We were at Orly's Treehouse yesterday but the whole place seemed geared to much older kids, though they do have classes for 6+ months.

ETS: I just looked up the Little Sunshine and it looks adorable (and inexpensive Chat Icon). I'd be looking for Queens or Nassau preferably, but I'll definitely keep it on the list - thanks!

The Little Gym. DS goes there and loves it!

Other ideas...Gymboree, My Gym, Once Upon a Treetop, White Post Farms (they do winter parties), The Childrens Museum (I heard is really nice).

I haven't been there, but Tinker Tots in Wantagh is supposed to be good.

there is one in Bayside also. If you live in Queens that would probably be better for you. It's on 222 St. and Union Tnpke. I believe.
