Need help deciding on wall color

Here are the two sets I am going with....

I was thinking of doing the green walls...but am also doing the green valances to match the boy's set. I was wondering how it would look if I sponged the two colors below onto the walls...Is that out dated? Am I better off staying solid? I don't want to over do it with the greens...

Re: Need help deciding on wall color

I would stick with one color (either green or yellow) and don't do the sponging at all

... I think it would get too busy in the room with both the sponging and the difference in colors between the boys and girls sets..

I adore those bedding sets Chat Icon

ooh meant to add (as the other girls have said) that go with yellow definitely! I think the green walls with green valances and all the green in the boys set might be a bit tooo much (JMO)

Re: Need help deciding on wall color

I agree that you should stay solid. Although, my cousin did green and yellow sponge for her son's room and it looked great! But the sets are so simple and beautiful that i think staying solid is the best bet

I vote for yellow.

It's going to look beautiful!!

Thanks for all of your advice...I also like the idea of the yellow, but was concerned that there was not much yellow in the girl's set.

heres an idea...if you want two different colors what about a sage and a yellow that isnt really yellow but almost ivory that way neither colors blend into the curtains and the walls look natural.

Re: Need help deciding on wall color

What if you do the green on the bottom, add a chair rail, and do the yellow on the top?

Re: Need help deciding on wall color

I kind of like the idea of using both colors. How about the green on the bottom and yellow on the top with a cream chair rail in the middle; or cream wainscoting on the bottom with yellow on the top; or yellow on the bottom with cream on the top and a green rail in between?

ETA: I love both bedding sets, and I LOVE the idea of using the same sets, just in different colors for boy/girl. Chat Icon

I also think yellow is a good choice. It will be a nice compliment to the green and pink.

I think solid might be better. I think the yellow would like great with either set.
