Need help finding a kiddie friendly park

I am trying to find a park to meet some friends at with the kids that is somewhere between the 2 of us. I am thinking that Hauppage is about 1/2 way. Anyone have any suggestions? I am open to other towns as well. TIA

Hecksher Park in Huntington
Northport Park down by the water
are all very kid-friendly.

Hecksher being the better of the two.

What is "between" the 2 of you? Where are you located and where is your friend located?

I take the kids to Gibbs Pond Park....

They have a ball field, playground, and across the way there is the pond with the ducks, a nice dock to walk out on to feed them etc......

There are a few favorites I have in Ronkonkoma....

Raynor Park : Ronkonkoma Avenue, just past Kohls ( nicely enclosed, rubber matting, walking trails)

There is a beautiful park on LakeShore Road by the Lake - behind the trailers (unfortunately) you would never know its there and its beautiful !!! Also, brand new, fully enclosed, rubber matting, public restrooms, toddler and big kid playgrounds.....One of my favorites !

Lakeland Park- Johnson Avenue

( this one is really nice for the lil' ones, it is handicapped accessible and all the equiptment is fairly low) There is also boardwalks with a pond (duckies)!!

Theres is a park on Patricia Lane also
( off Hawkins Avenue) I think its considered Lake Grove

Chat Icon I like this one because its never crowded !!

There's a nice park right off of 347 on Brown's Road. I think that is considered Nesconset.
