need help from creative mommies

My niece wants this necklace for christmas (the Troy necklace from high school musical)

But the necklace I am able to fine (and it is VERY hard to find this) does not come with the little stone in it.

I know I can pick up the stone, but how would I attach it to the necklace?
For a 14 year old girl - it has to be an identical match or it's not having "the real Troy necklace"

Any suggestions? I can only think of crazy glue but not sure if it would work?

You'd probably need to have the stone soldered on. I know home depot sells the soldering wire and the blow torch, but don't know how adventurous you are. Chat Icon
If not, maybe you can bring the necklace and the stone to a jeweler and they can solder it for you.

I just have a question-you said it needed to be the identical match....this is just an outside observation..but the chains looks very different and i just want to make sure you realized that....the first chain is very delicate and the second is much thicker (unless its just my eyes!!). Is that going to be ok with her? I only ask b/c i have teenage sisters and know how it is. I think you are very sweet to go through the trouble of adding the stone :)

I think I'll bring it somewhere and have someone else do it for me. Thanks for the suggestion

She is actually okay with it as she picked it out yesterday at Clarie's. But she pointed out a few times that it's not the exact necklace but close enough. She was my maid-of-honor at my wedding and I helped raise her. So whatever I can do to try and make it exact for her - I'll do Chat Icon
