Need help-headband & updos??
OK, my hair sucks lately. It's thin and making me cranky. I'm going to a wedding next month and am trying to find an updo to show my hairdresser. I think I am going to have her put in my add on extensions that I used for my wedding for some volume.
I just want a simple updo (my hair is curly) and I want to wear my hair all back. I think I want to try a thin headband to keep my hair out of my face. I am having trouble finding good picture, if anyone is bored and wants to search for me, I would really appreciate it, I'm having very little luck. This is a basic idea of the type of headband:
ETA: Also can anyone recommend a place that sells nice headbands? TIA!

J. Crew had some, too. Try Claires, maybe? They are usually accessory central. Or what about a thin satin ribbon?

i love this look! did you watch the victoria beckham show where she had the headband in her hair? i was so nice it made me want to take my extensions out and chop my hair....who am i kidding i dont have a hairdresser following me

Just wanted to say I love this look. I was at Nordstrom today and they have a huge selection of these headbands, although it made me sick to see that they charge like $58.00 for one.

I must have slippery hair or a weird head because every time I try to wear it like that, it slips off my head.

I absolutely love this look! I agree with all the stores listed, I've always had luck at them, and even Icing, which is a similar store to Claire's, I think they're owned by the same company or something.

I got a three pack of thin ones at CVS!! They are faux snakeskin - black one, brown one and tan!

I find that these slip out of my hair all the time, so I bought the really thin ones that are elastic and go all the way around your head at CVS. They have a little rubber on the inside so they don't slip. I had bangs cut and when i don't feel like doing them (pretty much every morning) I wear my hair like the photo and the headbands stay in all day.

Me too! I love this look and just can't pull it off... It never stays put in the back, and it if I have the front closer to my forehead (like in the pictures), it always slips to the back. Maybe my head is too big???

Norstroms Jr dept (Brass Plum) has double metallic headbands for $8!! I got a few this weekend.
