Need help picking a paint color
We are painting our office - because we are getting new furniture - and it's going to be an office/playroom now.
I want to paint it - but can't even think of a color that I remotely want. My office is on my first floor - so I kind of would like it to blend with the rest of the house down here. I have two yellowish/golds on the living room/dining room walls -- and a light green on the kitchen wall. They are pretty warm colors.
Can you recommend any colors that you have and like - I don't even know what color family I am looking for.
THANKS!

Re: Need help picking a paint color
We used Benjamine Moore color Monroe Bisque in our LR. So many people complimented us on it last night. Good luck!

How about a nice, light soothing blue that will help you relax in your office?

I was thinking of a blue -- do you have any to recommend? DH did a blue in our bedroom - but it was a blue gone very very wrong. When I mentioned blue to him earlier - he said he's still scarred from it!

Re: Need help picking a paint color
I love Boothsbay Gray. It looks like a ligth gray on the swatch but comes out a nice slate blue. If you put any color other than black next to it, it looks blue. We have it in our bedroom. You could do a richer green than what you have in your kitchen also or nice mocha color.

Re: Need help picking a paint color
what color is the furniture? we painted the office a burgundy prior to choosing furniture. since the furniture is now in (cherry wood), the room needs to be repainting because the burgandy does not blend well w/ the furniture.
i would advise that you decide on the mood that you want the room to evoke, select the furniture, fabric, area rug or carpeting, window treatment and THEN decide on a color for the walls. you do not necessarily have to purchase all these items but at least have an idea of what you want.
to answer the OW,i would opt for a soothing color for a guest room/office. beige, light blue, pale or sage green, light gray etc....
