need help, please post your worst puppy mill link

i need help, i just found out that my in-laws went to a pet store today looking for a dog. they have always adopted from the shelter, and even have one shelter dog currently, so this is a little unexpected.

we will tell them about puppy mills, but i'm looking for the sites with the graphic images/videos because i think that will hit home better with them.

can you post your worst puppy mill site/video?

This one is from the Humane Society website. You can also sign the pledge to help STOP Puppy Mills.. One of the ways to help is of course NOT buying a puppy from a pet store!!!!!!!

thank you. i googled it last night and found a ton of info; some of it was even about a particular pet store in the in-laws' area that gets puppies from mills. so hopefully that one will hit home. i also sent them the charlize theron clip, which i actually couldn't finish watching myself.

my guess is that my in-laws were just not informed about puppy mills. they have always gotten their dogs from shelters and rescue orgs (one of their past dogs was a retired racing greyhound), and they currently have a young basenji mix from the shelter. but this time they want a second dog that's a purebred puppy, and i bet they just figured that the pet store was the place to go.

i will speak to them tonight about other options. thankfully they haven't made any purchases yet.

also google "Dealing Dogs". It was/is a special series on HBO & has very VERY graphic images of what happens in PMs. One that stood out for me was a sweet black Cocker Spaniel. He was not reproducing fast enough with the b!tches, so the miller "pretended" that he got bit by him & put a shotgun to his head. I cried so uncontrollably that I called my DH to come home b/c I was so disturbed.
