Need help with a location for family pictures

My family is coming to visit this weekend, and we're going to take some family pictures. Does anyone know of a good outdoor locale very close to Ronkonkoma/Lake Grove/Nesconsett area ? My mother cant walk very well so I don't want her trekking all over the place, you know?

Lake Ronkonkoma is a great background. There's a wedding hall on Lake Shore Drive, on the east side of the lake that might be a nice spot. There are a few parks (also on Lake Shore drive, one on Portion, and one on Rosevale) that are on the lake.

yeah, thats what I was thinking- i wanted to see if there were some other spots as well. I'm new to the area.

There's a really nice pond in Stony Brook, just northwest of Stony Brook University

Nicolls road north till it ends, head left on 25a till it ends, head right, and it's on the left.

Very pretty area.
